Project stories

The kinds of problems we solve.

Client details are kept confidential, but these anonymized stories reflect real engagements across the industries we serve — and the range of shapes a Workday Financials project can take.

HealthcareFull implementation

A hospital system replaces a legacy ERP with Workday Financials

The situation

A growing healthcare organization was running finance on an aging ERP with heavy manual work: spreadsheet-based reconciliations, slow closes, and reporting that required IT tickets.

What we did

Led financial workstream design and configuration across FDM, Record to Report, Banking & Settlement, and Reporting — partnering with the client's accounting team so the chart of accounts and worktags reflected how they actually report.

The outcome

The team went live on schedule with a foundation data model built for their reporting needs, a faster close process, and finance staff able to build their own reports.

GovernmentPhased deployment

A public-sector agency rolls out new functionality in stages

The situation

An agency live on core financials wanted to expand into Budgets and Projects, but couldn't absorb a big-bang change alongside its fiscal-year obligations.

What we did

Designed a phased roadmap that sequenced deployments around the budget cycle, configured each module, and ran structured knowledge transfer so internal staff could own the system between phases.

The outcome

Each phase landed without disrupting operations, and the agency's team was self-sufficient on the new functionality before the next phase began.

Non-ProfitSystem redesign

A non-profit untangles a rushed original implementation

The situation

Years after a rushed go-live, the organization's worktag structure no longer matched its programs, grant reporting was manual, and users had lost trust in the numbers.

What we did

Ran a full current-state analysis, redesigned the foundation data model and accounting structure around program and grant reporting, and rebuilt key reports in Workday.

The outcome

Grant and program reporting came straight out of the system, month-end manual work dropped substantially, and finance regained confidence in its own data.

TechnologyPost-production support

A tech company stabilizes after go-live and keeps improving

The situation

After go-live, the internal team was underwater: a backlog of configuration fixes, unanswered user questions, and no bandwidth to adopt new Workday releases.

What we did

Provided ongoing production support — clearing the backlog, resolving issues at the root rather than patching, and coaching the internal admin team on each Workday release.

The outcome

The backlog cleared, recurring issues stopped recurring, and the internal team took over day-to-day administration with confidence.
